Reality of being a Teacher

As a student I didn’t realize that being a teacher was a lot more work than just standing up in class and talking about a certain subject. I’m quickly learning that there’s more to being a teacher, how important they are, and the things they do for us students. The students aren’t the only ones who have homework to do, teachers have to create lesson plans and figure out a schedule that works, while staying up to date for the state and also being able to give the students the extra time, if need be. They also have to be able to remain calm during chaotic situations; handling trouble students is just one example. The teachers aren’t the bad guys when you end up with a bad grade, they are merely giving a grade to the quality of work that you handed in. It’s not their fault, you get the grade you deserve for the work you did.  From seeing the other side, I probably should change the way I behave in my classes at the high school, but then again I’m just a difficult person. What would the world be like if there weren’t any teachers?
