This year is not only my final
high school year, but I am also getting a chance to try out my hand at one of
my career since choices, being a teacher.
I am a 5th grade teacher cadet at E.P. Clarke Elementary
school. I may look like one of the kids,
because I am only as tall as a 5th grader, but don’t let that fool
you. I am full of much more spunk,
attitude and knowledge. You can call me
Jewelz, but the name on my birth certificate is Julia.
I choose to be a teacher cadet at the same elementary school
that I attended, which seems like eons ago.
Since I was little I have always thought about becoming a teacher, and
this opportunity is giving me a chance to see if teaching is something I really
want to do. I enjoy being around young
children and helping them do different things, from learning to play a game,
working on homework, even though I don’t like doing homework, and anything else
they need help with. Working with the kids and helping them makes me feel
great, because I’m playing a small role in their lives and making a positive
influence on them. I like to spend time reading a good book or watching a good
movie, while relaxing on the couch. I enjoy being spastic sometimes, just to
keep people wondering what is up with me and it helps to keep my day
interesting.
